On 24 January this year the Auxiliary Bishop of Lima, Bishop Raul Chau, visited us in our monastery and precidió the Mass for the Feast of our Holy Founder, St. Francis de Sales; it being our Jubilee Year Opened Visitandine.

This Eucharist was concelebrated by Father Carlos Salas (Montfort) and other friends of our monastery ssacerdotes.

The Supreme Pontiff Benedict XVI, happily reigning, was informed by Father Valentine Viguera, SDB, Assistant General of the Order of Sisters of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, of the Jubilee celebrations that by 2010, the fourth anniversary of the day this religious institute was founded by St. Jane Frances de Chantal Fremiot and San Francisco Sales. With the desire to reward the pious faithful his special concern for the beloved Church and affection peculiar to the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary, graciously granted a plenary indulgence, with the usual conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion and prayer for Supreme Pontiff's intentions). When these rites, truly repentant Christians who visit a monastery of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary and a Conventual Church take part in a ceremony for a period of time and end up reciting the Lord's Prayer, the Symbol of Faith and some Prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane Frances Chantal.
